Three-part stemma: P | AHL | FIKM
The stemmatic structure of the Diodorus manuscripts for Books XI–XII is tripartite: (1) P (Patmius) stands alone as the oldest and most authoritative witness; (2) AHL form a family (Coislinianus + Vaticanus 994 + Parisinus 1662); (3) FIKM form another family (Laurentianus + Parisinus 1661 + Claromontanus + Venetus). All three branches descend from a common archetype that was itself corrupt. The extensive comparison tables (pp. XXIII–XXVI) prove this tripartition through dozens of readings where the three groups diverge systematically.
