XLVI ARGUMENT

Ch. forgetful of previous wrongs, come to their aid. Epaminondas makes an attack on Laconia with a fourfold column. 64. It is described how the four columns of the Thebans burst into Laconia. Ischolas, placed opposite the third column, is celebrated as another Leonidas. 65. Epaminondas turns his whole army to the attack on Sparta. Gallic and Iberian soldiers, sent by Dionysius, come to the aid of the Lacedaemonians. Artaxerxes, through Philiscus, again urges the Greeks to peace.
